The
Turhys believe they have come to an evolutionary dead end.
The Ancient, eldest of the Turhys, is convinced by his oldest
advisor – Lord Fier – to use the combined power
of the Turhys to create change in them. The Ancient agrees,
and summons 100,000 of the Turhys on the continent of Seefell.
They do create change, and the Gnarrhys is born. It kills
or changes the Turhys, including Lord Fier. The Ancient
and eight others survive, but even they are changed. They
are no longer immortal. They start to age very slowly. An
arm of the Gnarrhys gains sentience and takes the form of
the Father of the Dathrhys and sweeps across the continents,
destroying almost all of the organized civilizations. |

animen, including the avians (bird people), the ursan (bear
people), the lobos (wolf people), the chatara (cat people),
and the minotaur (cow-people) In the following three millennia,
more animen appear as the last Turhys change them as well. |
