History
As with all Imrhys, Laurstra has lived a very long time. While many of the events of her life have been recorded, there are still many that have yet to be recorded.
The Fifth Age (10,001-12,500 AI)
Early Life
Laurstra was born in Jay City, Dykstra on Ipsen 19, 10003. Her father Jaystra was a Huntian professor and her mother Susanara was a nurse. From very early on, the Imrhys Dykstra was part of her life and they considered each other siblings.
When she was ten, her parents moved from the Dykstran Huntian University to the Huntian University of Rado in Muskegeon, Rado, where Jaystra became the chair of the biology department. While there, she met many other Imrhys.
The Third Gnarrhys War
On Wontober 23, 10050. Savaron, the Fourth Gnarrhys Lord, destroyed Muskegeon. Laurstra, Jaystra, and Susanara fled up into the mountains only to be chased by Tronds. Her brother Dykstra and his companions Maz, Ambrosius, and Pet'r arrive just as the university falls. They destroyed the Tronds and rescued Laurstra and her parents. They returned to Dykstra to rebuild their lives.
Return to Dykstra
They discovered that the Dathrhys had invaded Dykstra as well, and only the presence of the Imrhys Dykstra and Bresky had kept them in check. Over the objections of her parents, Laurstra became a warrior, fighting the Dathrhys wherever she could. Dykstra took her under his wing and she frequently traveled to the Scottish continent with him on his missions.
Awakening
On one of these missions, Laurstra was traveling with Dykstra and Maz when Goth Vampires attacked the small party. The two Imrhys were knocked unconscious. As they were about to be slaughtered, Laurstra's power Awakened and the surrounding vampires were destroyed.
Sithnarn Stronghold.
On Yakuter 8, 10,079, Laurstra partook in the destruction of the Sithnarn stronghold in the Forest of Zierath. She fought beside Zierath, Maz, Annie, Bresky, and Dykstra. Most of the Sithnarn are destroyed. Old Dolph -"Sithnar's Vengeance" and Rrex Grrolla escaped to Fitzcairn Fortress and hide.
The Battle of Neverman
The last major battle on Scottlund takes place on the eastern shore of the continent, near the city of Neverman on Ronolom 12, 10,085. The Zierathan Alliance Army - including Zierath, the Karland, Dykstra, Melissa, Annie, Pagnucci, Smehren, Kunce, Bruno, Bresky, Ambrosius - attack the Goth Vampires. The Goths and their allies lose and attempt to flee, only to be blocked by the navy - including Mik'l, Dav'd, Dan'l, Pet'r, Laurstra, Faux, Tamara, Jystad, Paul Black, Maz, Larsen, Olaf, Olson, Doudna. Even the appearance of Savoron, the Knife Thrower, does not save the Goths. Larsen, Olaf, Doudna, and Zierath, using the Items of Light, drive it off. About fifty of the Goths escape, including Nights'maron.
Grand Admiral
While the Fourth Age Imrhys were forming the Zierathan Alliance, Laurstra, Pet'r and Bruno sailed around the Scottish continents and islands, lending aid and maintaining the peace. In 10090, Laurstra was surprised to learn that she was named one of the Grand Admirals of the Zierathan Alliance. She was able to travel extensively during the formative years of the Zierathan Alliance.
Andr'u
On Noon Year, 10145, Pet'r invited Laurstra to attend the Wangese Awakerning Trial. As she watched, Andr'u Awakened. Laurstra developed a strong friendship with the new Imrhys.
The Jordanian Civil War
Zierath, now the leader of the Zierathan Alliance, was concerned with the well-being of his friend Jordan, who he had not heard from since before the Gnarrhys War. In 12002 Zierath sent Laurstra to find out what has happened. As she sailed into the harbor, Jordanian ships tried to sink her. Her ship was badly damaged, but she managed to get away.
Laurstra returned to South Loyalund two years later, this time with a large armada and nine other Imrhys at her back. They arrived in Iano to consult with Dougiano and Sherismith. The 12 Imrhys and their armies head north into Doric Empire.
On Jazzuary 11, 12005, the twelve Imrhys and their armies come across a three way battle between the forces of Aeole, Dore, and Warez. Their armies join in, scattering the other three armies. Warez, pursued by Zierath, Dykstra, the Karland, Bresky, Dougiano, and Sherismith, flees north. Aeole, followed by Dan'l the Wang, Jen of the Hylands, and Laurstra, flees northeast. Dore, hunted by Annie, Kunce, and Smehren, flees south.
Aerock
Laurstra, Dan'l, and Jen scouted ahead of their armies and snuck into Ames, the capital of the new Aeolic Empire during the new year celebration in 12006. They found that the Aeolic Empire had found a way to discover those humans with the potential to become Imrhys and it had become part of the Day Between Years ceremonies. One of those tested, Aerock, tested positive, and was about to be executed when Dan'l, Jen of the Hylands, and Laurstra rescued him. The Aeolic Knight leadership and the Prosecuters are decimated in the attack. Aerock joined them in their efforts to defeat Aeole.
Aerock's Awakening
On Dekruary 2, 12006, the Imrhys and their army skirmish with Aeole and his personal guard. Aeole made a stand outside of Jordan’s home town of Dekra. He ambushed and badly wounded Jen of the Hylands. Dan’l punched the mad emperor across the river. He did not pursue. He turned to Jen of the Hylands and spent many hours holding her, sending his power into her to help her heal.
Laurstra and Aeole fought, and Laurstra was losing. Aerock Awakened and blasted Aeole with a powerful avalanch of earth magic. Aeole lost the Crown of Jordan, which gave him the edge he needed to face the multiple Imrhys, and he fled. Aerock then healed Laurstra, mimicking the technique that Dan'l used on Jen of the Hylands.
The Fall of Aeole and Dore
On Noon Year 2, 12007, Aerock, Dan'l, Jen of the Hylands, and Laurstra chased Aeole to the border town of Stouie where Annie, Kunce, and Smehren had fought Dore for six months. Aeole and Dore battled each other and get so focused on each other that they didn't see the seven Imrhys sneak up on them. All nine Imrhys went to the bottom of the Zeppini River, and Aeole and Dore are sealed into the river bottom.
Annie, Kunce, Smehren, Aerock, Laurstra, Jen of the Hylands, and Dan'l turned to the political arena and choose a member of the house of Jordan to be the new emperor of the Aeolic Empire and the Doric Empire . Both men were powerful administrators and cautious peacekeepers. In their lifetimes, the Aeolic and Doric Empires did not war against each other.
The Marriage of Laurstra and Aerock
Laurstra and Aerock are married on Santil 18, 12117.
The Sixth Age (12,501-15,000 AI)
The Fourth Gnarrhys War (13,706-13,710 AI)
When Zierath went AWOL, Queen Annie ordered Laurstra to track him down and return him to Castle Zierath. Laurstra did her best, but her fellow Grand Admiral Darynbruch - and Zierath's step-brother - interfered. When the hunt was called off, she discovered that she had not been chasing Zierath at all but rather Captain Paul Black on board the Excelsior who had been mimicking Zierath green aura. Laurstra was quite irritated.
The Battle of Maz City
Laurstra and Darynbruch were put in charge of the massive armada that would ferry the Zierathan Alliance armed forces to Deanne. Laurstra arrived at the Maz City camp to consult with the commander-in-chief Mattew. She met with him at the same time Maz and Lindsay were also demanding to see him. While the four were meeting, Gnarrhys-stuff appeared and tried to posses them. Rather that submitted, the four grabbed each others' hands and reinforced each others' auras to protect against the possession. They then shadowalked, looking for a way out of the darkness. They found an exit through the Gnarrhys-stuff covered Bravebill, freeing him and saving Nicholas the Axemage, who the possessed Bravebill was about to kill.
One hundred thousand troops are freed by the Imrhys. They are loaded onto the massive Armada, and they headed towards the Isles of Metcalf.
The Colossus Massacre
As the Fleet sailed by the Colossus of Maret, it was attacked by thousands of Dathrhys, led by the Unknown. Laurstra and Aerock fought off the possessed Andr'u and Bresky. Their ship the ZANS Willow was then attacked by Kartookine. They fought it until the Jolly Elmo drove it off. 100,000 sentients were killed in the battle.
The Stone Dees
As Aerock was chosen to be Ka'Senne's slicer in the final battle, Laurstra's ZANS Willow was one of the ships used by the Nine Bearers of Light, their slicers, and their back-ups to get to the Mausoleum of the Imrhys. Laurstra then followed Ka'Senne, Aerock, and the Stone Rook through the wormhole to the Stone Dees. Laurstra battled many Dathrhys and possessed sentients. She was a witness to the destruction of Vampyre.
