History
The Fifth Age (10,001-12,500 AI)
Early Life
Pouli was born on Ronolom 21, 10871 A.I. He was the smaller of a pair of twins. Throughout his childhood, he was the tag-along little brother. He would follow his brother into all sorts of trouble, and loved every minute of it.
As he grew into adulthood, Pouli was unsure of what direction he should go. He grew with a great sense of duty, and was aiming at serving his country in the army when he Awakened.
Awakening
On Yakuter 25, 10887, Pouli was hunting in one of the forests in the Valley near the border of Lealund. He brought his kill across the border. The local sheriff immediately jumped to the conclusion that he was poaching. She chased him back to the Valley. His hunting companions confirm he was not hunting in Lealund. To prove his archery skill, he shot an apple from a tree directly above her head. The apple fell onto her head, but the irritation that Pouli felt Awakened his Imrhys power. The arrow, empowered by magic, continued speeding around the ring. It returns once every year, going around and around the ring, coming up from the south and going around to the north. The return of Pouli's Arrow is now celebrated as a major holiday in that quadrant, and many bets are placed on what the arrow will go through that year.
The University of Rado
Pouli spent quite a bit of time at the University of Rado. He studied many different subjects, in particular Military History, Political Science, and Elvish.
While at the University, Pouli mets Zierath and Kerkove. Pouli and Kerkove develop a friendly rivalry, and Pouli accompanies them back to the Zierathan Alliance in 10,925 AI.
Fitzcairn Fortress
In Santil of 10988. Zierath was summoned by members of his military to go to Fitzcairn Fortress. When Zierath, Pouli, and some Zierathan Knights and Carlin Rangers arrived, they went to relax in the local hotel. They were attacked by a group of Sithnarn vampires, who had taken over the military outpost. Pouli was about to be killed by Rrex Grolla when one of the Carlin Rangers, a wood elf named Jondular, saved him. By distracting Rrex, Jondular left himself open to attack and he was badly injured by old Dolph. Pouli, without consciously knowing what he was doing, super-charged Jondular's system and fully healed him in a matter of minutes.
The two Imrhys chase the Sithnarn into their ruined castle lair. They battle the vampires and narrowly defeat them. Old Dolph is destroyed, and Rrex Grrolla is buried beneath tons of rubble beneath the ruins of Fitzcairn Fortress.
Pouli remained close friends with Jondular for the rest of Jondular's life.
The Sixth Age (12,501-15,000 AI)
Landaxis
A new Imrhys Awoke in 13153 in the Forest of Zierath, and started to cause some severe problems. It is discovered that Landaxis was a feral child. Zierath sent Pouli and Nicholas the Axe-Mage to bring him. It took a while, but they were able to bring him in, although they were both a little worse for wear. It was a long process to rehabilitate the neo-Imrhys.
Abatwaran Mantean Revolt
In 13518, a full mantean revolt ensues when the Mad Hatter and Clint get into a fight. Manteans spread across Abatwar, Abatwar Annex, and the neighboring countries. Many Imrhys lords -including Ambrosius, Stavius, Xiola, Pagnucci, Pouli, Dan'l the Wang, Braithe, and Zierath - and their armies crack down on the manteans and drive them back to Abatwar. The Mad Hatter is able to regain control of the hordes.
Rrroger
Pouli and Jondular become good friends with Rrroger, a local lobos man. Pouli did not know it, but Jondular knew his time was coming to and end, and was finding a companion replacement for Pouli.
The Fourth Gnarrhys War (13,706-13,710 AI)
Jondular Goes to the Light
In mid-Ronolom in 13708, Pouli was summoned by Susanra, Jondular's eldest daughter. The magic boost that Pouli had given Jondular finally gave out, and Jondular was dying. Pouli came to the small city where Jondular had settled. As the oldest ferhys since the Evolution of the Elves, the Mother of the Ferhys, Fedra, also came. Pouli, Fedra, and Susandra were with him when Jondular went to the light.
Mihn Tran Fortress
Pouli was drafted to travel with Dykstra and Dan'l the Wang to travel to the Lands of the Rickster to find out what happened there. He went over his objections. Rrroger travelled with them. They met up with Grand Admiral Pet'r and Jen'l at the port in Neverman, and then started to sail west aboard the ZANS Crystal.
In the middle of the night, agents of Kumahr and Druachit Modia kidnapped Pet'r as part of an on-going game between Kumahr and Pet'r and a scheme of Druachit Modia to escape. Dan'l, Jen'l, Dykstra, and Pouli, with several other sentients, travelled to the Mihn Tran Fortress to rescue Pet'r. They freed Pet'r and Druachit Modia, and then proceeded to fight Kumahr and Caroleiza. The invading Imrhys escaped with Pet'r and Druachit Modia.
Jarduk
The Crystal sailed from Carolund, but Kumahr, aboard the CSS Kenza, was chasing them. Kumahr's ship was attacked by Jarduk. Fortunately, Pouli sensed Jarduk and convinced Pet'r to turn around the Crystal to save Kumahr and battle Jarduk. Pouli, Druachit Modia, Dan'l the Wang, Jen'l, Pet'r, and Dykstra distracted Jarduk long enough for Kumahr to bring the Ruby Katana into play. Jarduk fled, badly wounded. At Pouli's urging, the two ships called a truce and continued heading west.
The Crystal veered from its original course to the Lands of the Rickster to the Isles of Metcalf, where all the mages were steering the currents and the air stream.
Visintainer
Zierath sent Pouli north to follow up on rumors of the Gnarrhys possessing sentinets on the north of the Isles of Metcalf. At the same time, Kerkove sent the Stone Rook to do the same. The two Imrhys lords nearly came to blows as they hid from one another. They eventually discovered each other just in time to meet and battle the possessed Visintainer and an army of possessed. Pouli and the Stone Rook held them off until Ka'Senne, Tanyadee, Kumahr, Maz, and Dykstra were able to come with reinforcements. Visintainer was freed by a spontaneous Commune between him and Tanyadee.
While the majority of the Imrhys were concentrating on defeating Vampyre, a small group of Imrhys were focuing in on something much more personal. Marea and Amila, the daughters of Constanza, moved to rescue their possessed mother. They were joined by the Imrhys lord Anchat and Amila's dragon-sister Manticore. Pouli found out about it and accompanied them, helping them remain undetected.
One of Marea's childhood friends, the half-Innubus man Arutha was being controlled by Vampyre and was sent to find her. They battled, and in the midst of the battle, Arutha's body was destroyed, which destroyed the control Vampyre had over him. His mind was imprinted on Pouli's, and the two of them shared a body for a while.
Constanza's daughters, Pouli/Arutha, and Anchat freed Constanza, which distracted Vampyre long enough to have the other Imrhys lords warp in through Avalonia and the Stone Dee Wormholes.
When Vampyre was vivisected, a piece of his energy latched onto Arutha and pulled him out of Pouli. His body was reformed, and then he fled; as the first of a new type of Dathrys, he did not want to face large numbers of Imrhys. From that day on, Pouli could sense roughly what Arutha was feeling and doing, and vice versa.
The Seventh Age (15,001-17,500 AI)
Pouli's activities for the Seventh Age have not been recorded.
The Eighth Age (17,501-20,000)
Pouli's activities for the Eighth Age have not been recorded.
The Fifth Gnarrhys War (18829-)
Pouli's activities during the Fifth Gnarrhys War have not been recorded, although there are rumors of him having an encounter with Arutha.
The Future
Pouli survived the Fifth Gnarrhys War and is still a major character in the world.
