History: Jack was an ambitious member of the Outcasts. He had a definite emnity towards Nicholas Dent . He arranged for a fall for Dent and got the young man demoted. Dent fought his way back up through the ranks.

Eventually, Jack was put in charge of operations in the Bronze Way neighborhood of Steel Canyon.

Jack and his gang came across the reformed Nicholas Dent and fought him. Dent was joined by Obsidian Omega and Experiment 2.0. Obsidian Omega became enraged at Jack, who he perceived as hurt the 'Earthmother.' Obsidian Omega crushed Jack with his massive hammer, killing him. Dent incinerated the body.

History: Jai began her career as another Metaforces soldier, a normal
person fighting alongside superheroes using government technology. She had no powers, and served in Operation Virtue with Staff Sgt Gevin Riley, one of the corps' most decorated mortal soldiers. She later fell in love and moved in with the Dark Harrier. When she decided to retire from service, she felt the need to still be 'out there' fighting the good fight, and began working as a protective hero while trying to figure out where her life was going. While doing her thing in Indie Port protecting a fish seller's business from the Family, she was assassinated and died on the street.

While being mourned over by her friends at the hospital, Jai's corpse was infused with nanobots meant for limb regeneration by Maggie Riley, Gevin's daughter-from-the-future. The nano culture instead reshaped her bio systems, and ressussitated her. It was discovered shortly after that the bots had used excess metals to regenerate her injuries and create metal claws embedded inside her forearms, which she can unsheathe at will. The bots also store extra materials for emergency conversion inside her intestinal system for rapid regeneration of injuries. They can also absorb outside substances for use as such directly via physical contact, including absorbing bullets that lodge in her body.

Still learning about her newfound powers, Jai is trying to understand her new place in the world.

History: A brusque man in his 50s, with short black hair and rough-hewn features in the uniform of an Army Sergeant Major; jump wings, numerous awards, and a black beret tucked under his arm. Maxwell Croniger and Jenkins served together in Panama and later the Persian Gulf. Max had been the finest C.O. he’d ever served under. He’d traveled here from New Mexico.

Jenkins has two children, Cassandra and Pandora.

When young, Erik was a small, sickly boy, but had a bright, inquisitive nature. Despite being frail, he would spend hours out in the forests or fields looking at nature and the interactions of the world. He was also a voracious reader.

His family was poor and the schooling he was provided was minimal at best. He learned far more from his parents and any books he could get his hands on than he did in school.

Erik’s father died of cancer when Erik was only 8.

As he grew up, the bigger stronger boys constantly picked on him. He found it necessary to defend himself often. A friendly local shopkeeper, and former boxer, taught Erik his first basic combat moves. Years later, the murder of the shopkeeper by a local gang extorting protection money is what started Erik on his vigilante crusade.

As puberty hit, things changed for Erik. His mutant metabolism kicked into full gear and he grew amazing big, strong, and fast. No longer was he the target of bullies.

He eventually became a vigilante hero working to protect his neighborhood from the mob bosses in the area. He donned a dark mask and costume, calling himself Shadow Wolf.

He returned with a vengeance, striking fear into any of those who considered themselves above the law. He was a force of vigilante justice in Paragon City during this time.

During WWII he acted as commando and performed several missions deep within enemy territory.

After the war he split his time between education and crime fighting. Over the next 30 years he got his high school and college degrees, and then followed with several doctorates.

Shadow Wolf continued to crusade against crime until his 75th birthday in 1983. Even with his mutant metabolism slowing his aging, he could not go on forever. At that point he announced his retirement and intention to help teach all that he had learned to others. He was immediately hired by Paragon University and was instrumental in creating the Hero Studies program.

During the Rikti war he helped as much as he could. He was really too old to be an effective combatant, but was instrumental in the planning covert actions and the training of new heroes.

His current teaching position allows him to keep up on a lot of the heroes in the city, but he still stays mostly in the background. He still tries to help out heroes who are fortunate enough to cross his path. He has a network of contacts – both super and mundane – that allows him to help in a variety of ways. Several times he has taken in young troubled heroes and helped them straighten out. He is subtle, but is very interested in passing on his wisdom and knowledge (both quite vast!) to current heroes. He has taken an interest in SteelDragon and has spent some significant time training him.
