Their combined efforts defeat Lady Damned, with Inklings getting the final hit in. She was sent to the Zigg.

Belted at the waist, jacket over high collared shirt, skirt to below the knee. Two hair needles to hold the tight plait she makes, also weapons but well disguised. Her Katana, Winter Blossom, is worn in a very traditional manner, hilt down and strapped across her back, to be drawn from the waist as one crouches. It is hidden under the fitted jacket and invisible unless drawn, but she always wears it, and once drawn it must taste blood before being sheathed. Her left palm bears the scars of this practice. She has a commanding presence, speaking easily but not frivolously, and is earnest in conversation.

History: Jing Jiang is the last daughter of a wealthy, but shady, Japanese art collector. His trade was plied between the British and Japanese, and often involved stolen articles, or things which seemed not to have receipts. He ran afoul of a powerful local prelate near the end of the 16th century and was kidnapped while transporting goods at sea.

His daughter had taken the trip with him, and was lost at sea. Thought dead, she was washed ashore at the previous location of Avalon, off the Scottish coast. The man’s house and all his belongings were confiscated by the prelate, and decades passed while Jing recovered and learned under Lady Morgaine’s watchful eye. She never forgot who she was, and was taught as any proper Japanese would be, raised as a woman of rank.

Time moves differently on Avalon, and decades are like years. The longer one stays, the more the difference. Jing lived on Avalon for over two centuries before Morgaine gave her the option to leave. She did, but only for a short time, and only to learn the fate of her family.

They were no more. She returned, to completely immerse herself in the study of her lost clan, to learn who and what they were. She is the perfect Courtesan, knowing all aspects of Dynasty Japanese life. She also learned the ways of fighting from masters, and techniques since forgotten. The one thing that was given to her, from the hand of her mentor Lady Anvil, was the ancient, enchanted Japanese katana, Winter Blossom.

The Ladies have all taken time into the lives of the world, to learn and observe. Taking the name Lady Gemini, Jing served as an ambassador to the Japanese at one time, just after the second world war. It was due to her knowledge of the customs that reconciliation was able to occur so smoothly, and that further leads into some aspects of her father’s loss were made known.

She served as protective escort to Lady Almira during the time they tried to mend the horrors of the atomic blasts. Almira was horribly disfigured by radiation, and only due to Gemini’s dedication did they leave the country alive. During their travels, she learned that a great ancestor of a Tsoo leader had been the prelate that had her father killed.

When they returned to Avalon, Gemini declared blood feud, and requested permission to carry it out. Morgaine refused. War is forbidden for the Ladies, and seeking out violence is also a high crime. Twenty-five years ago, Gemini received word that the Tsoo she sought was making a menace of himself, and requested the work that would remove him. She disobeyed Morgaine and broke a cardinal law of the Ladies in his capture and subsequent death.

She was forced for twelve years to never return to the Island, but she had to serve the public good. That is when she started Shadows and Stars, the battered women’s shelter she runs. Upon her return to Avalon, she was charged with caring and rearing Narshawn, to teach her humility and purpose. Narshawn and Gemini became as close as any true mother and daughter, and now work together at times.

She is graceful, poised and quiet at all times. When she does make a statement, it is short and to the point. She has no equal in the Martial Arts, and has had nearly four centuries to perfect her skills.

History: Dinah Franks is from Templeton, Iowa, a very small rural town outside Des Moines. She was the typical awkward teenager in school until that fateful night when her latent mutant abilities of sound manipulation came to the forefront while she performed a solo for her school's choir. Although she has gained some control over her powers, she can sometimes hesitate in using them... which is why she decided to travel to Paragon City and attend Paragon University after graduating high school, so she can minor in Hero Studies as she majored in Business Administration. She is very much a fish out of water in the big city, which could get her into a lot of trouble.

History: He was an older gentleman, with a grandfatherly smile and neatly combed silver hair. He definitely looked the part of senior metapsychologist, with his shelves of books on psychology, the multiple degree plaques hanging on the wall, the pictures of metahumans he's helped, and the impressive credentials set neatly all about the room. The man was a pillar of knowledge about not only the human psyche, but also the unique challenges presented to the metahuman psyche. It was well-known that some of the city's greatest heroes had seen Dr. LaGuireri in moments of crisis -- and that his kindness and straightforward attitude had been something that saved many a hero who was teetering on the brink.

History: Dmitri Svetlanov is a accomplished nuclear physisist.

He was in the coma ward in the Steel Canyon Hospital when Guardian Angel awoke and healed everyone in the ward, including Dmitri. Dmitri has has since worked with Detective Scott Frost in several cases, including finding who killed Chiri Gami Gohei Otogizoushi, a fight against Tisifone Babel, and then a fight against the Fenris Project. LEM 15 was captured by Yager to have him help rebuild Cyber Skull, but instead LEM was able to send out a call for help from Frost and the other Whitmoore residents.

History: Long Jack has worked the docks in Port Noble since he was a petty officer in the Second World War. He was training himself up to be a natural hero, but that wasn't in the cards. He lost his health—not to an accident or a disease, but to an unethical army doctor who used Jack's body for experimentation at the behest of the Council villain, Maestro. Jack's sad history may be the reason the Council seems to leave him alone these days. Unfortunately for the Council, Jack has no intention of returning the favor.
